You seem to have a great variety of sneakers on your Instagram feed, but do you have any favorite brands?

I pretty much like them all. But my usual go-to are the top brands, Nike, Jordan, adidas, Vans, Yeezy, and New Balance. However, over the last year or so I’ve been obsessed with New Balance. Love what they do.

I see. Do you have any favorite pair of sneakers at the moment?

My top 3 at the moment, these are the ones I always want to wear are:

Jordan 1 Mochas

Funny thing, I wasn’t going to too keep the Mochas I was planning on reselling them. But the shoe’s quality for a retro 1 is so good and the colorway as well, that I had to keep them. So happy I did.

New Balance Grey 992

The NB 992 is an ultimate dad shoe that looks really cool, amazing quality, and super comfortable. I could wear these all day with no problem.

And the green Aime Leon Dore 550.

The ALD 550 I love because it’s my first ALD NB collaboration, love the vintage look, and the 550 overall is a really cool NB retro sneaker.

What is your opinion on the current sneaker community?

I think the sneaker community it’s at its strongest. More and more people are into sneakers than ever before. But the resale market is obviously hurting the “average Joes” from being able to buy the sneakers they want. Nowadays everyone is a reseller. However, I’m not too concerned with the average Joe selling a pair of sneakers because they can make a few bucks, I’m concern with brands not taking the necessary steps to stop all the bots or the major players that are buying tens or hundreds of shoes to then flip. I’ve gone a year and a half trying to buy a pair of Dunks for me and my wife, and I’ve still haven’t hit through the SNKRS app or anywhere.

I think brands should have a better system in place where they know which accounts have hit multiple pairs of limited sneakers and then give the other accounts who haven’t hit a chance to purchase. But at the end of the day as long as sneakers sell out and people continue paying for resale, nothing much will change. We as a community, as a whole, just have to stop paying for resale, but can we stop?

What is your all-time grail?
