I am a sneakerhead

I am a sneakerhead episode 126 - @Yeti1408

Hey guys, my name is Yeti. I’m 21 years old and live in a small village near Wolfsburg, Germany.

I started focusing on sneakers around five years ago. Inspired by the football stadium of my club VfL Wolfsburg I oriented on the casual culture. The terraces were getting dominated by Adidas, Nike and New Balance.

My first pair of sneakers were Adidas PT Trainer. I was very proud of them. It didn’t take long for me to add more pairs to my collection after that. Many were from the City Series like the Adidas Munich or Forest Hills. I got most of my shoes from England. They are the trendsetter of the casual culture.

But as time went by I also got to know other brands and models. The Asics GL3 fascinated me. I’ve never seen a split tongue before.

Up to this day I own around 50 pairs of sneakers, splitted into a couple of brands. The Asics dominate my shelves though.

It’s tough to find pairs in US12/13 over here. Especially collabs are very difficult to buy. I order my shoes online with help by Klekt or trade in Facebook groups. Shops that own rare pairs are over 250 miles away from where I live.

My favorite sneaker shop is located in Hannover. The boys from VCNTY are close friends who lead their shop with fresh and innovative ideas. Shoutout to them! Thanks to the Epsilon-Team for the interview!

My personal top five:

Asics x Ronnie Fieg GL3 "Salmon Toe"

Asics x Colette GL3 "Sold Out"

NB 1500 x Solebox "Toothpaste"

Asics x Ronnie Fieg GL3 "Leatherback"

Asics Gel Saga x Patta
