I am a sneakerhead

I am a sneakerhead episode 2 - @Malte_derkalte_

Hello my name is Malte Karassek based in Cologne, Germany. I am 20 years old and I've been collecting Sneakers since I was 14 years old. My passion for Sneakers started with the 'old' Nike releases. Since I was a little boy I wanted to wear nice kicks. My first good looking Sneaker was a Nike Air Max 90, which I bought at Footlocker. My attention for Streetwear developed on the streets of Cologne. I loved to wear flashy Sneakers with a lot of colours. Today I am more into the casual street style. I buy, sell and wear many of my personal grails, but my favorite pair is still the Nike Air Max 1, created by Tinker Hatfield.

My current crush is the Adidas Yeezy Boost 750, created by Kanye West. It took a long shot to get my fingers on a pair. Normally I wasn’t really a fan of high top Sneakers, but the 750 changed everything. I really liked this pair, because its not a normal Sneaker. In my opinion its a pure fashion Sneaker and this is the way the 750 started to rule the hype and this game. To get a pair you have to camp in front of stores for almost a whole week. For normal releases you just have to camp a day or two in front of the stores or enter a raffle. TheGoodWillOut started a raffle for two pairs of the Yeezy 750. Most of the people in front of the store were there for almost a whole week just to resell the 750. I couldnt be there because I had to work, but I was determined to get a pair. I was at the store when the raffle started, but I had no chance to get one...

So I started saving money, while checking ebay and k'lekt everyday to get a pair in my size for a reasonable price. It took almost 6 month to get a pair for a “fair” resell price. I had to order my Yeezy from a guy in Canada. He was the only one who would send me tagged pics from a legit pair, which was essential for me. Online you will find a lot of fake pairs or fake people. This makes it really complicated to get an original pair especially the Yeezy 750 Boost. Shipping from Canada to Germany took a long time and it was driving me crazy until the day they arrived. I haven't had any regrets about buying my pair: I love to wear them.

At the moment I'm looking to add some of the older Nike releases to my collection.
