Hey, I'm Pierre. I've been a sneakerhead for over 15 years. I became passionate about sneakers thanks to basketball, and especially to Michael Jordan, who is, in my opinion, the greatest sportsman in history and, above all, the most influential in street culture.
How many pairs do you currently have in your collection?
Over the years, I have accumulated many pairs, and I must have 300 at the moment. One of the first pairs that really appealed to me was the Air Max 95 Neon, which was revolutionary for the time with a magnificent colorway that is timeless at the same time! I love this shoe!!
Are there any brands in particular that you enjoy?
I like a lot of brands, but especially Jordan for its iconic models and Nike because they have remained the strongest, thanks to creations that have touched everyone. Anyone knows the Air Max 1, for example. Above all, I believe that they were masters of advertising in which everyone could relate. For several years, I have been very happy with the work accomplished by New Balance, which is returning to the forefront.
Do you usually buy sneakers in physical stores or online?
As I am Corsican, very few stores are positioned in the sneaker market here, so I mainly order online.
Have you ever needed to pay a resell premium for a pair of sneakers?
I don't win the raffle all the time, so I still have to turn to reselling to get the models that I really like.
How many pairs have you bought in 2023?
This year, I must have bought around twenty pairs of sneakers, or maybe a little more.
What is your favourite pair in your collection?
It's very difficult to say that it is my favorite pair, but, of course, the AJ1 Chicago is the perfect pair in my opinion. However, I have a big affection for the Air Max 90 Off-White.
Do you already know what your next purchase will be?
I have a lot of pairs on my wishlist, but I’m impatiently waiting for the Air Jordan Low 'Trophy Room'.
If you could only wear one pair for all of 2024, which would it be and why?
If I could only wear one pair in 2024, it would be the New Balance 991 'Stray Rats,' and if I could only wear one pair that will be released in 2024, it would be the 'Nike Air Sharkidon Travis Scott.'
