Locations - Episode 1 : Dubai
Introducing Locations, a new series where we team up with photographers to share their favorite spots in their local cities. You can use this series as your guideline, next time you’re travelling. In the first episode, we are honored to team up with @Lughass, an upcoming photographer talent based in Dubai, UAE. Here’s his top five locations:
Dubai Canal facing skyline (Oud Metha Road)
A classic view of the city skyline, one that is difficult to get enough of. Iconic and timeless shots there to be taken from this location, definitely a favourite for many.
2. Emirates Holidays office carpark (neighbouring JW Marriott Marquis Hotel)
Futuristic location under one of the city’s main flyover bridges, lots of potential for minimal shots with lots of room for creativity.
3. Sunset Beach Jumeirah (facing Burj Al-Arab)
World famous Burj Al-Arab backdrop, one that is a great joy to shoot and admire. Sunset and sunrise seem to be ideal timings for maximum sun flare and moody tones.
4. Tolerance Bridge
An architectural masterpiece right in the heart of the new Downtown Dubai overlooking the water canal and the skyline with unique angles and leading lines. Plenty of opportunity for those with a keen interest in symmetrical imagery.
5. Fossil Rock desert
A must see for anybody looking to visit Dubai and expereince true Arabian desert landscape with stunning sunsets and popular though rare encounters with some of the desert’s most resilient creatures, the Arabian Camels.
