Canon EOS R - A Pioneering Full-Frame Mirrorless Camera That Sets New Standards
Nikon recently announced their new series of mirrorless cameras - the Nikon Z6 & Z7. And now Canon is ready to release their response entitled EOS R. With a dimension of just 135.8x98.3x84.4mm, this camera might feel a bit small for Canon users who have been used to cameras such as the 5D series. Meanwhile, the EOS R weights less than 600g.
That being said, it is fully maxed with some of the best specs, including a 30.3mp sensor, 8fps continuous shooting, up to 40k ISO, and 4k video quality.
It also features a new mount system called RF, meaning you will need an adapter if you own any "older" Canon lenses.
Meanwhile, it features a new LED screen, very similar to the one on the Nikon Z7. Preorder of the EOS R begins on September 12th, and it will officially be released on October 9th, with a retail of £2,349.99. At the same time, four new lenses will be released, specially designed for the new mirrorless camera and RF mount:
35mm f/1.8 IS Macro STM - £519.99 (Will be released in December 2018)
50mm f/1.2L USM - £2,349.99
24-105mm f/4L IS USM - £1,119.99
28-70mm f/2L USM - £3,049.99 (Will be released in December 2018)
