Photographer Spotlight - Episode 7 @Ninja.af

For the first interview in The States, we went to Los Angeles to have a talk with Adam aka @Ninja.af

First of all, would you mind introducing yourself

My name is Adam Fujioka and I'm a street photographer based in Los Angeles, California. I was born and raised on the island of Oahu but have been in Los Angeles for the past 6 years.

What equipment do you use for your photos?

I am a Nikon shooter. When I go out to shoot I usually use what ever I can carry around. It'll usually just be a couple lenses, a tripod, and a LED light.

How and where do you find inspiration for your work?

My main inspiration for photography is influenced from where I was raised. Growing up in Hawai'i, I was blessed by always being surrounded by beautiful environments. Whether it's going down to the beach for the tide pools or hiking up a mountain for a waterfall, I can always go back and find inspiration from nature.

Do you have any favorite location to take pictures at?

I usually shoot in Downtown Los Angeles. That's where the majority of my photography comes from these days. Being in such a different setting than I used to, I find the atmosphere of such a dense city intriguing.

What is your all time favorite picture?

Currently one of my more favored photos was from a collaboration I did with Butch (instagram: @butch_locsin_from_la). He is a truly talented artist/performer who creates stunning visuals with smoke grenades.

Thanks to Adam for taking his time doing this interview with us. Make sure to check out all his awesome pictures over at his Instagram account @Ninja.af
