We went to Tenerife to make an interview with the local photographer @Junior.ded.
First of all, would you mind introducing yourself
My name is Damián Domínguez but I prefer to be called Junior. I live in the north of Tenerife, Canary Islands. Recently I have turned 18 years old and I started taking photos as a hobby about a year ago.
What equipment do you use for your photos?
I have an old Pentax K-m and I use the lens kit (the typical 18-55mm) , a 80-200mm f4.5 and a 50mm f1.4.
How and where do you find inspiration for your work?
Normally I found inspiration looking through Instagram but sometimes when I see a movie or a music video I have an idea of how can I make it similar but adding my perspective to make a difference.
Do you have any favorite location to take pictures at?
Yes, if you look on my Instagram profile you'll notice that I like to shoot sunsets near different coasts.
What is your all time favorite picture?
Well, I have some pictures that I consider are my favorites. But the best is one where I'm holding a crystal ball during the sunset. Also, another one when you can see La Palma island at the back at sunset too, even though that one can seem too edited it was very similar in reality. And finally, I really like one of my latest pictures, the one where I'm holding a bitten donut.
Big thanks to Junior for taking his time doing this interview for us. Make sure to check out his Instagram account @@Junior.ded.
