Action Bronson x New Balance 1906r 'Rosewater'
This is my personal opinion on these, yours may differ 🤷. These & the blue were the main pairs from this pack I really wanted to cop. When the story rolled out & I saw that it paid homage to AB's wife & a piece of their story, the design made a little bit more sense. You can tell that he put his heart into these, but I was a little disappointed when my pair came in.
Materials: the entire upper is a see through mesh that has a slight lime green tint with hits of pink by the lace cage & below the N logo. The panels resting on the mesh are clear, but have 3m inlays on them. Moving to the N logo, it has 2 shades of blue & the N acts as a locking system for your midfoot. Moving to the 🔙 heel, there's a rose-pink plastic cage with an orange mesh below the NB logo. My favorite part is the midsole, which is multicolored w/ a bright orange shade that transitions to a burnt orange towards the back heel. Some subtle hits are the little 🟡 'NERGY' logo & a purple pop near the toe that contrasts nicely with the 🍊 midsole. On the tongue & lace cage. He uses the bright yellow laces from his v6 & they rest on a rose pink, big hole mesh tongue w/ a honeycomb pattern that's visible thru the mesh. Lastly, he finishes off his branding on the tongue w/ BAKLAVA NB 1906 on a clear rubber panel. Overall, I personally don't like the see through mesh bc it felt like an unfinished design, but besides the mesh, I enjoyed the rest of the design.
Comfort/Sizing: the 1906r is a pretty comfortable model imo. It has a pretty squishy feel to it since it uses the same outsole as the 2002r, therefore, the comfort will be similar. In terms of sizing, I'd go with your tts in these.
Overall Opinion: I enjoyed the vision that went into this design & it does reminisce of rosewater, but the lack of paneling with the see thru mesh, just gave this shoe an incomplete feeling & I feel like the online pics were a little bit deceiving. The color combo of the rest of the design was perfect imo, but the mesh is throwing me off. To some this may be an incredible design & I do appreciate his story, but these aren't for me.
