Earlier in 2023 Asics leaked a few photos of the new colorways of this model that would be released throughout the year. This was 1 of the 2 colorways to release that I was really looking forward too.

Materials: this is slowly becoming one of my favorite Asics models with each new colorway that releases. The majority of the upper is covered in a soft, oyster color suede that has a nice color change while brushing across it. The Asics Stripes is a white nubuck underlay with an oyster color suede on top, giving the stripes a unique 3D effect. Last thing to mention is the mesh. I know it's the same as before, but I really like how the white contrasts with the oyster suede & I personally feel like it really completes the overall aesthetic of the sneaker.

Comfort/Sizing: in terms of comfort, I feel like this is very similar to the 1130 in terms of squish, but it feels slightly more stable & firm if that makes sense. If comparing the 3, I'd say 1130, NYC, then Kayano 14. In terms of sizing, I bought these in a size 8, which is my tts, & these fit me perfectly. For reference, I wear the Kayano 14 & 1130 in a size 8 as well.

Overall Opinion: like I mentioned previously, this model is becoming one of my favorite models that Asics is currently putting out. This is definitely my favorite model on feet from an aesthetic standpoint & a close second behind the 1130 model in terms of comfort. This specific cw is my favorite (as of now) to release this year. It's a very simple & clean look & has been getting a lot of wear in my rotation currently. I'm kind of surprised this cw is sitting in some shops & my advice would be that if you have the chance to pick these up, don't sleep!
