Bode x Nike Astro Grabber 'Ecru'

This was a pair I was really looking forward to picking up as it got closer to the release. Bode designed 2 CWs of the Astro Grabber & honestly did a great job w/ their first Collab with Nike.

Materials: the upper of this pair is a woven cotton material in an Ecru cw, the woven pattern looks similar to the stussy spiridon. The weave acts as the mesh & has held up pretty well with very minimal creasing so far. On the toe cap there's some spacing that leads to a corduroy panel that wraps around both sides and ends near the back heel. Moving to the swoosh, they used a soft 🖤 leather that feels & looks pretty nice in hand. Next would be the back heel and lace cage, they went with a darker🍦suede that feels decent, but nothing too crazy. Regarding branding, Bode added some subtle branding on the tongue tag and on the insole. & Lastly, I wanted to mention the trinkets that they added. They're a pretty unique addition that pays homage to the Owner who would go antique shopping with her parents. They snuck in the Bode & Nike Swoosh logo on the trinkets depending which way you flip it. One of my trinkets has already broken off, so I'd honestly recommend taking them off. Overall, this is definitely my favorite cw in the pack & I really feel like the packaging, extras, & materials really create a special experience when you open these up.

Comfort/Sizing: on foot, these feel really similar to the Field General, they have a squishy and flat to the ground feel to them. I've worn them casually and haven't had any discomfort. SIZING, I bought this pair in a 8.5 (half up from tts) and they fit pretty snug, but after wearing them for a few hours, they stretched out and fit perfect. I'd recommend going up a half size in the Ecru cw, but go a full size up if you don't want a snug fit, half up has essentially no space leftover.

Overall Opinion: between the 2 in the pack, the Ecru is definitely my favorite. I have a soft spot for woven fabric on sneakers & all the little details with the packaging & trinkets really gives this Collab a feeling that you're opening up a gift into Bode's past. Truly a beautiful Collab 🏆
