Bodega x Saucony Grid Shadow 2 "Jaunt Woven"

I have a huge soft spot for sneakers that use any kind of woven/natural material, so I'm a little biased on these designs. When Bodega rolled out the product photos, I was pretty stoked to see these in hand. The way Bodega is able to mesh together neutral colors with bright hits always creates a really clean balance.

Materials: the upper of this sneaker is primarily made up of green, tan, & brown canvas & hemp. Starting at the toe, there's a brown, stone-washed canvas that carries throughout the entire sneaker. On the back heel, there's a 🟤 'Saucony' logo embroidered onto the canvas. Also on the back heel, is a green diamond pattern with 'GRID' embroidered in a lime color with a red patch in the shape of a diamond below it. Following up is a layer of dark green hemp with the Saucony logo embroidered in a lime green. Moving to the side panels is a soft to touch, honeycomb pattern in a natural tan color resting above the Saucony logo. My favorite detail of these is the tan hemp that acts as the mesh for the sneaker. It hits a nostalgic part of my childhood bc my mom had a couple of wicker chairs & baskets around the house that were woven together in a similar pattern as the upper. Last thing I wanted to mention is the placements of the bodega logo on the tongue that is embroidered in a lime hit with a red 'S' below it. Overall, the amount of details bodega is able to implement into a subtle design is always very impressive to me.

Comfort/Sizing: the grid shadow 2 has a squishy & slightly firm feel to it that gets more comfortable the more you wear them. In terms of sizing, I usually go up a half size in the Grid Shadow. I received these in my tts (US 8) & they do fit & break in nice. Go tts

Overall Opinion: something that @bodega has always dominated with is the amount of detail they're able to squeeze into subtle designs & still be able to carry out a clean aesthetic. These & the jae tips collabs have been some of my favorite designs to release from Saucony in a while & I'm excited to see what's next. If you're looking to pick these up, bodega will be releasing them FCFS on 2/23/24
