C.P. Company x Asics Gel Quantum 360 VIII
first off, I wanna thank @excusemejayburnz & @ohkaykaykaaaay for helping me pick these up on release day 🏆🏆
regarding this sneaker, when they initially rolled out the product photos back during PFW, I was initially going to pass on this drop all together, however when more photos started rolling out and I began to see more of the details & the way they added the design onto the sneaker with zero stitching really piqued my interest.
Materials: jumping straight in, the mesh used is a 🩶 color and has a somewhat stretchy feel to it, similar to knit, but more sturdy. My favorite part of these is that the paneling is glued on the knit, but it's very well done & looks like it's embossed into the upper. On the toe box they have some 🩶 & ⚪ panels that surround the C.P. Company logo. Moving to the stripes, they honestly have a 3D effect bc of the line pattern & color combo. I feel like this feature really gives it a futuristic aesthetic. Lastly, the back heel has a black, plastic-like panel with the ‘a’ logo & on the back pull tab, there’s more C.P. Company branding. Personally, my only gripe is that I wish there wasn’t all the extra paneling on the toe box w/ the branding bc it makes it feel like too much is going on, but the overall design is well done & I enjoyed how they were able to give it a futuristic aesthetic.
Comfort/Sizing: the Gel Quantum 360 VIII has a very soft & responsive feel on foot. It's probably one of the more comfortable runners I have tried & would be a no brainer for an everyday throw on & go beater. In terms of sizing, I got these in my tts (US 8) & they fit me pretty well. There's a tiny bit of room in the toe, but very minimal. I'd go tts, even with wide feet, unless you want a really snug fit.
Overall Opinion: this design honestly speaks for itself & is a lot better than I initially expected. The comfort of this model is really impressive & feels great on feet. I'm personally looking forward to more CWs of this model & if you missed out on this design, there will be more GR cws to release soon based on news outlets ✌️🫣.
