Hal Studios x Asics Gel-1130 MK-II
I'm going to be honest, these past 2 Hal Studios collabs have, imo, been the best Asics Collaborations to come out in a really long time. From release, to materials, to comfort, and so on, they have continued to dominate each sneaker they touch.
Materials: the materials & little details of this sneaker truly separates this from other collabs. Starting out with the stripes, you have a premium forest green, long hair suede, that is soft to touch and has a nice color change while brushing across it. At the end of the stripe, there is a small Asics 'a' logo, which is honestly my favorite touch to their designs. Next to mention would be the premium soft brown leather that wraps from the laces to the back heel. Lastly, the big hole mesh in a dark green (almost greyish depending on light). Idk if it's the insole or the mesh, but this design & their Earth Collab have been more comfortable than other 1130's I have tried in the past.
Comfort/Sizing: imo, the 1130 is probably the most comfortable lifestyle model in the Asics line-up. They have a very soft and squishy feel to them, yet somehow it feels like your foot is very locked in and supported. If you haven't tried out an 1130, you're sleeping imo. In terms of sizing, I went with a size 8 & they fit me perfectly, therefore I'd stick with your tts.
Overall Opinion: from concept, to design, to release method, & lastly, end product, Hal really blew this out of the water. It's not very often that brands do a preorder method and the way they did it was epic. In terms of the sneaker, I love it, & I really love the way this pair looks on feet. The 1130 is a great model and every time Hal gets a chance with a sneaker, they execute it beautifully. Imo, they haven't missed yet and based on what they've shown recently, it doesn't look like they're going to anytime soon. If you slept on this preorder, Hal Studios will be releasing this sneaker worldwide on 4/18/23 at 6 AM EST. Gonna say it again...Don't sleep.
