JFG x New Balance 993

I really enjoyed the campaign they put together for this collab. The concept of performance arts for me being able to leave your impression and your legacy for the masses after all is said & done. Being able to express yourself and what you love with your own unique spin on it. Giving an overall meaning & purpose to what you do and being able to share your vision with others, which in reality is what photography has become for me as this page has developed overtime.

Materials: I really enjoyed the color selection for this pack as a whole. JFG has yet to have bad quality materials on his sneakers and continues that streak on this pair. The majority of the upper is covered in this pink suede that is very soft to touch and has a nice color change while brushing across it. I may be wrong on this, but he seemed to choose a big hole mesh in a greyish/white color, rather than standard NB mesh. Lastly, there's 5 different shades of pink that vary around the sneaker, my favorite being the outsole that has an orangish/pink tint that changes into a bold pink. Overall, I was pretty happy with the materials chosen on this sneaker and enjoyed the subtle branding to the sneaker. I feel when collaborators do this, it allows the designs to speak for themself.

Comfort: the 993 is one of my favorite models. I personally find the 993 more comfy than the 992. It has a soft and squishy feel to it on foot, while also maintaining a nice stable feel. The 993 could easily be worn all day without any pain at the end of the night. In terms of sizing, I went down a half size (7.5 US) and they fit me perfectly.

Overall Opinion:
I'm going to start this off by saying I am pretty biased on this cw, so I will attempt to see it in a different view lol. There's a lot of meaning to the pink colorway in my family. I knew that we were going to grab this pair for myself and my gf since she is a survivor. With that being said, I believe from the marketing, to the concept, & the materials on this model, it made it an easy choice on whether or not to grab them
