Kith for Asics Gel-1130 'Scarab'
I really had fun with these photos & I really wanted to bring out some of the unique features of this sneaker. The 'Scarab' cw, imo, is the easiest colorway to wear, hands down.
Materials: the materials on this sneaker are identical to those of the Dazzling Blue 1130. The silver panels feel nice to touch & look to be made of a synthetic leather. Near the toe & certain parts of the eyelets have a brushed finish, while the rest of the upper is a tumbled look. Next up is the big hole mesh. The mesh is a cream color & due to the choice of mesh used, is extremely breathable on foot. Lastly, the Scarab hits, which is a Dark Green colorway that becomes more prominent given the angle of lighting. The Scarab hits are complimented with cream underlays & white in the stripes. Overall, the 1130 is a great model & the team at Kith chose some clean colorblocking.
Comfort/Sizing: imo, the 1130 is probably the most comfortable lifestyle model in the Asics line-up. They have a very soft and squishy feel to them, yet somehow it feels like your foot is very locked in and supported. If you haven't tried out an 1130, you're sleeping imo. In terms of sizing, I went with a size 8 & they fit me perfectly, therefore I'd stick with your tts.
Overall Opinion: Between these and the Dazzling Blue, these 2 will be the hardest ones to pick if you're only grabbing one of the 1130's. The Scarab colorway is clean, easy to wear, and an easy choice if you're looking for an everyday sneaker. The 1130 is THE most comfortable shoe I have worn to date & gets better the more I wear it. With that being said, this & the Dazzling Blue are definitely my favorites out of the 4 pairs & imo, will be the hardest pairs to choose from. If you haven't tried an 1130 (GR or not), I'd check them out bc for 120 (max) the comfort level is worth every penny.
