Marvel x Kith x Asics Gel Lyte III “Wolverine '75”

This was one of the most creative projects I have seen from a Collab in a minute. The overall execution was just incredible, from the card, packaging, tear open packaging to see the shoes, just beautiful. I haven't seen this much buzz around a Collab in a while. Now... onto the kicks...

Materials: imo, kith did a really good job bringing the wolverine cw to life. The majority of the upper is a yellow suede that is soft to touch & has a nice color change to it while brushing across it. Next up, the Blue leather hits, which are on the stripes and 2 squares near the toe. The leather used is decent but not anything too crazy. On the toe cap & wrapping around the shoe is a black leather, which has the same consistency as previous leather mentioned. My favorite features of this model are the X-Men & Fieg embroidery on the split tongue & the cw on the laces. Inside the tongue, there's a 'Marvel in collaboration w/ Kith' which just speaks to the meticulous detail that went into this design.

Comfort/Sizing: imo, the gl3 is a comfortable sneaker. It has a nice squishy feel to it that molds to your feet nicely overtime. In terms of sizing, I grabbed these in a size 8 and from a length perspective, they're perfect, however due to the high arch of my feet, the tongue is pretty open, but I grabbed the Beast cw in a 8.5 & personally feel like I should've gotten an 8.5 in these bc the tongue stays closed lol.

Overall Opinion: I think Kith did an amazing job with this Collab. The packaging gave me that nostalgic feeling of opening up a pack of trading cards as a kid wondering if I got lucky and got the cards I wanted. I did grab this pair on goat, so I knew what I was getting, but for the others I bought, it did just that. I like the concept of trading for the pairs you wanted (like trading cards), I just wish there was an easier way to do so. As for the sneakers, they did a great job recreating the 75 Wolverine. For me, this will be my shelf piece bc Wolverine was my favorite X-Men growing up. In closing, I feel like this experience was well worth the price & Im glad I was able to grab 1.
