New Balance 990v2 by Teddy Santis

New Balance 990v2 by Teddy Santis

this was one of the last teddy pairs that I have been waiting for. This colorway (for whatever reason) reminded of the Madness 990v2, which I've always thought was a beautiful design, but they're basically non-existent nowadays.

Materials: the materials used on this sneaker are nice. The brown suede is soft to touch and has a very nice color change to it. The brown has a coffee-like shade in hand and imo is a really unique touch. In the toe area there is some olive suede that is also pretty soft as well. My favorite part is the deep purple squiggle mesh. You'd think it would be very loud since it is purple, but because of how the other colors compliment each other, it gives it a subtle feel, which is odd. Lastly, there is an orange underlay under the N logo & in the sockliner that I really feel like completes the shoe nicely.

Comfort/Sizing: the comfort of a 990v2, imo, is soft but more on the firmer side. It is squishy, just not as squishy as the 990v3 and so on. This is something that could easily be worn all day without any issues. In terms of sizing, I grabbed a 8 due to availability & tbh they fit me fine, but I personally would recommend going down a half size.

Overall Opinion: this colorway may not be for everyone, but for me, it's one of my top 5 favorite V2's that NB has done recently. The sneaker is subtle, yet loud, & satisfies that desire for me to want to grab the Madness V2. The materials are very nice & considering it's a gr, I feel that it is a lot nicer than other brands in the same price range. My overall thought is that if you like ACG vibe sneakers or wish you grabbed the Madness V2, this may scratch that itch. I personally wouldn't sleep on them, but that's just my opinion 👀.

If you made it this far, thank you for taking time out of your night to read my thoughts. Thank you for the support & thank you for making this possible. I hope you have a blessed week
