New Balance 991 '40th Anniversary'

I know to the average person this looks like a grey shoe, but this sneaker is absolutely stunning in hand. I'm honestly upset I waited so long to grab it.

Materials: I honestly don't think they could be much better. The grey suede used on the majority of the upper is very soft to touch and when you brush across the suede, it has some of the most drastic shading changes I have seen on a NB in a minute. However, the rest of the sneaker is the typical 991 materials which is fine by me. On the toe, heel, & tongue you have this greyish, almost khaki color. Idk about you, but I really feel like the NB design team went off on this pair and did an incredible job.

Comfort/Sizing: the 991 is a fairly comfortable sneaker. It has a pretty stable feeling on foot but is also slightly squishy. I think if you're looking for something soft and squishy, I would go with another model, but if you're looking for stability, I would go with these. In terms of sizing I would go tts. I went with a size 8 and these fit my feet perfectly.

Overall Opinion: if I'm being honest, it's wild that this is a GR. This is definitely my favorite GR this year hands down and I will probably be doubling up. People had been telling me how good this sneaker was & now that I have them in hand, I understand why. The way the colors contrast off each other works perfectly. The suede used is honestly beautiful and some of the best that I have seen this year from NB. My only gripe would be the retail price, but tbh people pay 300 for Yeezys and don't bat an eye & imo these surpass those by far. In closing, I would not pass on this colorway if you are on the fence. I wanna say thank @knowear.co & @newbalancelifestyle for making these available.

If you made it this far, I wanted to say thank you for taking time out of your night to read my thoughts & thank you for the continued support. Much love
