New Balance x Action Bronson 990v6 'Lapis Lazuli'

From what i understand, this design is AB's take on the iconic 'Navy' New Balance colorway, & i feel like he did a nice job putting his own twist on it. From the timb-like laces, to the connection of the colorway 'Lapis Lazuli (one of the most sought after stones & in this case colorways) i definitely feel like he gave it a NY & AB twist.

Materials: the majority of the upper is a Navy suede that wraps around the entire bottom half of the sneaker. The suede is soft to touch & has a nice color change while brushing across it. Underneath the N logo, you have this aqua/torquoise perforated nubuck. Then the midsole is a cream color with a dark blue hit towards the back. My favorite part of this sneaker is on the OG pair and these. On the outsole there is a aqua hit on the outsole that honestly looks identical to a stream of water given the pattern. I just thought that was a really unique touch and shows the level of detail & creativity that has been shown in his collabs so far. Lastly, I feel like his biggest nod to NY, the timberland laces. I really feel like he truly did what he set out to do which was to give us his twist of the standard Navy color New Balance.

Comfort/Sizing: when I think of fuelcell, I imagine a very bouncy & responsive ride, but for ME, this had a perfect mixture of stability & bouncy & they really did an amazing job. Idk how they did it, but I find the 990v6 way more comfortable than the v5. The best way I could describe it, is imagine a V3 or fuelcell model & add stabilization and that is to me is the v6. In terms of sizing I got these in a 7.5 & they fit me perfectly. Essentially, stick to your same 990 sizing.

Overall Opinion:
imo, they made a standard Navy colorway and added a AB x NY twist. From the timb laces to the pop of bright colors, i definitely feel like this was a refreshing & unique design given the way fashion is headed. If you missed out on the drop, I wouldn't sleep too long bc these have a lot of hype behind them (kinda like the lapis lazuli crystal)
