This is a shoe that I never thought I would have the opportunity to own & to have had the opportunity to purchase it for retail blows my mind, especially when I've almost paid resell on numerous occasions 😂. Patta has been a brand that I've always admired & tbh, my Monarch AM1 review is a big contributing factor in how my page began to grow. To see this moment come full circle & own such an iconic piece of Patta history gives me an immense amount of gratitude.

Materials: starting at the mudguard, you have a chlorophyll green denim that wraps around the entire bottom half of the sneaker. Midway down the mudguard you'll find a mini swoosh embroidered into the denim in that same green hue. Moving to the side panel, there's a premium, grey nubuck that feels nice to touch. On top of the nubuck is the Swoosh, which is done using the same green denim as the mudguard. Next, on the heel counter, there's a grey canvas that wraps around the back heel w/ a 'Nike Air' embroidered right in the middle of it. Moving on to the tongue, you'll find 'Patta' & 'Air Max' branding debossed in green onto a white, leather tag. Lastly, on the insole, you'll find Patta & Nike branding followed by a design to simulate the back of a 20 € euro bill followed by 2004-2024.

Comfort/Sizing: the AM1 has a somewhat firm support w/ a little bit of squish, complimented by a nice arch support. It wouldn't be my 1st AM I'd pick if I were to be out all day, but I have done it & it wasn't so bad. For sizing, I went tts (US8) & these fit me perfectly, so go tts.

Overall Opinion: to some, this may look like a green air max 1, but for me it's a shoe that I've watched for years that I accepted I wouldn't be able to own, much less wear. Over the years I've seen Patta continuously give back to the community, the collectors, & the people who support them. I've always admired what they stand for as a business & the work they do for the community at large & they stay true to their slogan, "Patta got love for all".
