Ronnie Fieg x Asics Gel Lyte III 'Super Orange'

When Ronnie leaked the 1of1 of this cw earlier last year, I was really hoping we'd see a wide release of a similar colorblocking and I'm super glad he did. Add that to the fact that it coincides with his 99th & 100th Asics Collab AND goes with the launch of his Beverly Hills Store I knew I was gonna buy it no matter what lol

Materials: when I pulled these out of the box, they honestly exceeded my expectations. The majority of the upper is a soft tan nubuck. The nubuck has a premium feel to it and even after multiple wears, they are beginning to crease nicely. I personally feel like this was a beautiful way to close out his 99th & 100th Asics Collab using the OG shape. I feel like between the subtle FIEG/Kith hits & the subtle colorblocking with a pop of orange was truly a beautiful execution.

Comfort/Sizing: imo, the gl3 is a very comfortable sneaker. It has a nice squishy feel to it that molds to your feet nicely overtime. In terms of sizing, I grabbed these in a size 8 and from a length perspective, they're perfect, however due to the high arch of my feet, the tongue is pretty open unless I take the insole out or tie the laces somewhat tighter. I personally don't care tbh, but I wanted to note that for others. If you have a wide foot, I'd 1000% go up a half size.

Overall Opinion: first off, I'm gonna really try to not be biased, but I have never been able to get a Kith designed Asics for retail before, & being that this is his 99th Collab & coincides with the opening of his Beverly Hills store, this is an incredible W to have in the collection. The OG shape, high quality materials, and the story behind it, this really feels like a no brainier for those who collect Kith collabs. I remember when I first started buying Kith I watched this interview that Ronnie did on YouTube and to know how far he has come is truly incredible & inspirational. It makes me very grateful that my first Asics W was this one & hopefully many more to come.
