SNS x Adidas Predator Mundial
This is my first predator mundial & this pair caught my eye during their marketing rollout. The exaggerated stripes & overall aesthetic isn't something I see very often & that really piqued my interest. Luckily I hit the raffle & was able to pick em up pretty easily.
Materials: starting at the toe, there's a thick grey-ish suede that wraps around the entire toe with unique stitch patterns throughout the entire toe box. The suede used feels more durable than soft & should hold up pretty well. Behind the toe box is a black leather w/ a dark red underlay that gives the stripes a bit more character imo. Underneath those is a cream leather that has a very premium feel to it & is used on the eye stay, tongue, & a small portion of the back heel. Moving to the back heel, there's an SNS logo debossed on the suede of the left shoe & trefoil logo on the right pair. They continued the same branding on the tongue w/ the trefoil on the left pair & SNS on the right. Also on the tongue, they went with an exposed foam that has a pre-aged look. & lastly, on the inside of the sneaker, they used a leather sockliner & snuck in some more SNS & Adidas branding on the insole in red. Overall, the aesthetic on this pair is really what stood out for me & some of the materials used were pretty impressive.
Comfort/Sizing: the comfort on these remind me of the forum but not as flat & more padding, in comparison I'd say like an SB dunk but with more padding on foot & a bit of arch support. For sizing, I'd recommend sticking with your tts.
Overall Opinion: this is a chunkier model than what I expected but it kind of works in a good way. This was my first predator model & honestly, the color blocking & exaggerated details is what really caught my eye. It felt really unique & isn't a pair I have seen very often, especially on the streets. I do wish the suede on the toe was a bit softer, but that's just nitpicking, bc it doesn't affect the performance or comfort at all lol. The rest of the sneaker is really nice & I'm looking forward to putting some miles on these.
