Tom Sachs x Nike General Purpose Shoe

When I initially saw that Tom was releasing a yellow colorway I was pretty excited because when a sneaker has this shade of yellow on the majority of the upper, I usually try to grab them. I will say these first 2 colorways are probably my favorite out of the upcoming colorways that were leaked earlier this year, but that is subject to change lol.

Materials: the materials used on this sneaker are nice. It has areas around the toe, heel, and eyelets that consist of a yellow suede. The suede, imo, has more of a durable & somewhat soft feel to it. I think given the price point and purpose of the shoe, it is decent for what it is. The uppers consist of a type of durable feeling mesh that is very breathable on foot. Finally, the tongue consists of this thin padding, but is pretty comfortable on foot.

Comfort/Sizing: I will say, straight out of the box it had a pretty firm support, but after a few hours of wearing them, they began to break in and became very comfortable and squishy. If I were to compare them to a New Balance, I would say they're similar to a 327. I would say based on wearing the Studio CW constantly since I got them, this is a sneaker that could be worn all day without any discomfort. In terms of sizing, I purchased an 8M/9.5W & there is a little room in the toe area. I would recommend going down .5 from your tts.

Overall Opinion: Imo, I really do love this sneaker. I am really biased because of the shading of colorway and given that it is a Tom Sachs collab. I think the overall concept of the sneaker is pretty spot on. I have continuously worn my Studio cw in the rain, walking paths at parks, and essentially an everyday sneaker. I will say after all that wear they have held up very nicely. I think my only critique would be the materials, but given the retail price and concept of the sneaker, it honestly makes sense to me. I personally will be doubling up on this colorway and if you were a fan of the OG cw and like yellow, I would cop.

If you made it this far, I wanted to say thank you for your continued love and support. Thank you for what you do for this page. Much love
