Thank you @smallgainz & @uptherestore for sending these over for me to review. Something I’ve always enjoyed about upthere is they go all out on their collabs. Whether it’s a special design that pays homage to their roots or a fun & creative rollout, it’s almost guaranteed that you’ll see that they have a blast designing & releasing the product. Congrats to y’all on another banger in the books.

Materials: The base layer of this design looks like a lavender elephant print w/ grey inlays, but the grey has 3m hits. There’s a 💜 mesh that looks like an embossed diamond pattern, similar to a regular diamond mesh. On the toe, there’s a 🩶 3m hit on the toe cap that has a pretty sturdy feel to it. Moving to the midfoot, there’s a 🩶, wavy pattern below the stripes that has a holographic 3m hit (reminds me of special tin yugioh cards). Moving to the back heel, there’s a purple pull tab at the top & a volt ‘A’ logo at the bottom. & lastly, 1 of my favorite features is the lacing system. There’s a tab that runs up the tongue w/ UPTHERE in 🧡, then it divides & leads to another 💜 tab w/ Asics branding in a volt. Between those 2 tabs is a UPTHERE/ASICS S-Biner which is my favorite add-on accessory & shows the creativity of their design team. I’ve never seen someone effectively use this, especially on a trail model (which is perfect if you randomly need this for whatever reason lol) Overall, this is a banger pair they really knocked it out of the park, again 👏.

Comfort/Sizing: the Gel-Terrain has a soft feeling on foot, but is more firm than a Kayano or 1130. For sizing, I got these in a US 8.5 & they fit me perfectly. I found tts in this model is very tight on my midfoot & half up solves that issue. If you have a narrow foot, you'd be fine tts, but if not, go half up.

Overall Opinion: I really like this design bc the gel terrain model in itself isn't my favorite model, but they took it & made it something fun & creative that I can enjoy wearing. The 3m upper is starting to become their signature feature & the holographic hit is a super unique feature to add in. As I write this, they are now available to buy 🌐✅
