Bode x Nike Astro Grabber 'Black/Coconut Milk'

When I see this cw, it reminds me of the cleats from back in the day & I really wanted to create that same vibe with these pictures as I wrap up this series. The way they Bode stayed true to the vintage cleats while sprinkling in some unique details made me really appreciate this cw as I took these photos.
Materials: the upper of this sneaker is a premium & soft 🖤 leather. The leather quality is similar to the 🖤 leather used on the swoosh of the Ecru pair, however they used a coconut milk color as the swoosh on this cw. This is a small detail, & I didn't see it at first, but the laces on this pair are very similar to the laces on a football as they begin to fray overtime. That feature alone is a very unique & well thought out feature to add to this design. Below the laces is more of that black leather w/ the tan bode tag at the top of the tongue. Lastly, I wanted to mention that these come with 2 trinkets, 1 🏈 & 1 ⚾, but the hooks are much thicker and more sturdy than my other pair. Overall, Bode took a simple colorway that stays true to the old cleats from back in the day, while elevating it with hidden and discrete details throughout it.
Comfort/Sizing: this sneaker is very similar to the field general, which has a flat & somewhat squishy feel on foot. I've worn them casually and haven't had any discomfort. SIZING, I bought these in a size 9 (full size up from tts) and they fit my foot perfectly. I don't think I could've gone half up like the Ecru due to the thickness of the leather used. I'd personally recommend 1 full size up in this cw.
Overall Opinion: this was Bode's 1st Collab with Nike & they truly did a good job. This cw isn't my favorite out of the pack, but is definitely an easy pair to throw on & go. Like I mentioned previously, the clothes, packaging, & subtle details made this Collab feel like one of the better designs to release for me this year & am really glad I was able to add these to my collection.
