New Balance 990v2 by Teddy Santis
Idk what it is about the v2's that have been released with the teddy 16, but they have surpassed my expectations. I went into this pack, thinking the v3's would be my favorite, but once in hand, the v2 has been my favorite.
Materials: the materials used on these are similar to those used on the v3 version of these. The leather is reminiscent of the leather that was used on dunks back in 2020, before they switched to what is out now. I will note that the leather on the v2 is better than what was used on my v3 pair. The leather on the v2 has a soft and overall more premium feel to it. One of my favorite parts of this sneaker is the N logo that is done in this soft, grey suede. Lastly, the tongue has this soft, canvas like material on it, which I feel like is a unique touch that differentiates itself from the v3.
Comfort: the comfort of a 990v2, imo, is soft but more on the firmer side. It is squishy, just not as squishy as the 990v3 and so on. This is something that could easily be worn all day without any issues. In terms of sizing, I ordered a 7.5 thinking it would fit the same as the previous Teddy v2, with that being said, I would NOT go down a half size from your tts . The 7.5 is almost too snug for my foot, but it still fits and will probably fit better once worn more.
Overall Opinion: I personally enjoy this cw over the v3. The leather feels premium and I feel that as they age, they will just continue to become better. I love the fact that there are small differences between the v2 and v3 on all of these teddy pairs. The v2 in this pack feels more premium imo due to the mesh used, leather quality, and the canvas like material on the tongue. I look forward to seeing what Teddy brings out next in the coming pack.
