END. x Saucony ProGrid Triumph 4 'Nessie'
When I saw the pictures of these, I was impressed w/ the colorway & was really looking forward to getting these in hand. End did a really nice job w/ these & since this pays homage to the Loch Ness Monster, I really wanted to create something that played into the story of the mystical creature. Thank you @endclothing & @saucony_eu for making this possible.
Materials: the base layer of the sneaker is a dark blue, thin diamond patterned mesh for added breathability. Moving to the toe cap, there’s a teal, fuzzy suede with a white embroidery that adds a nice pop to the teal panels. Hidden beneath the suede upper is a dark green reptilian-like pattern. The Saucony logo on the mid foot has a foggy white hue to it w/ textured lines throughout. My favorite part is the sock liner bc they used a soft, white felt material that feels nice & cozy on feet. Regarding branding, there’s an End logo on both shoes on the back heel, & on the left insole is the Loch Ness Monster w/ some End & Saucony branding, but on the right insole it says “I believe in the loch ness monster". Overall, this was a super creative project & the quality of materials were nice, while also staying true to the Legend of Nessie 🦕.
Comfort/Sizing: this model is pretty comfy & feels more squishy on foot than the Omni Grid 9. For comparison, these feel plush & bouncy on foot, similar to the 2002r & like models. For sizing, I prefer to go up a half size from my tts (for me 8.5), I have gone tts in this model in the past & personally prefer the extra room.
Overall Opinion: I've always been a huge fan of what END does & tbh Saucony has been making banger after banger recently. Imo, this pair is really aesthetically pleasing & the way the colors play off each other makes this a really nice design in hand. I'm really grateful to have these & they will be getting some good wear from me moving forward. For those looking to pick up a pair, they're now live on End's website. Much love 🦕🫣👀
